3 Days Tanzania Safari  From Zanzibar

Your safari begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Upon arrival, you will meet your professional safari guide and begin the drive toward Tarangire National Park, located approximately two hours from Arusha.

Tarangire is known for its striking landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania. The Tarangire River attracts many animals throughout the year, making it an excellent area for wildlife viewing.

During your afternoon game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of antelope species. Predators such as lions and leopards also inhabit the park, often resting in the shade of acacia trees during the warmer hours.

After the game drive, continue toward the town of Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where your lodge or camp is located.

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife habitats.

The crater floor forms a natural enclosure that supports an exceptional density of wildlife throughout the year. Large herds of zebras and wildebeest graze across the plains, while predators such as lions and hyenas patrol the area.

Ngorongoro is also one of the few places in Tanzania where visitors may have a chance to see the endangered black rhinoceros.

Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing the game drive across the crater floor. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

On the final day, travel to nearby Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Although smaller than many Tanzanian parks, Lake Manyara offers diverse ecosystems including groundwater forests, open plains, and the alkaline lake that attracts large flocks of flamingos and other bird species.

During the game drive you may see elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and numerous bird species that make the park popular among nature lovers.

Later in the day, return to Arusha for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, arriving in the afternoon where you can continue enjoying your beach stay.
