Day 2: Full-Day Game Drives in Serengeti North – Kogatende
Wake up early for a full day of exploration in the northern Serengeti. Your guide will take you into areas of high migration activity, particularly along the Mara River where river crossings are most likely to occur. The crossings are among the most dramatic wildlife spectacles on Earth—wildebeest and zebras charging into the river, braving strong currents and lurking crocodiles, while lions and leopards wait on the opposite banks.
The day is flexible and tailored to wildlife movement, allowing you to spend as much time as needed tracking the migration herds and predators. You’ll break for a picnic-style lunch in the bush before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, topis, elands, hyenas, jackals, and a variety of bird species, along with frequent sightings of lions, cheetahs, and even leopards in the rocky outcrops.
Your guide will share insights into animal behavior, ecology, and the complex dynamics of the migration cycle. Return to camp in the evening for a warm shower, a hearty meal, and storytelling around the campfire.

Day 3: Serengeti North – More Migration Viewing Near the Mara River
On your third day, continue your migration safari in the same region, focusing on new wildlife sightings and dramatic scenes that you may have missed on the previous day. The goal is to witness a river crossing if you haven’t already, or to return to a crossing point where the herds are gathering.
You’ll explore different areas along the Mara River, seeking out crossings and watching the tense moments as wildebeest and zebras gather in large numbers on the riverbanks. Sometimes they wait for hours before one brave animal makes the first move—and then chaos erupts as the rest follow.
Aside from migration action, your guide will also take you to less-traveled corners of the northern Serengeti, providing a more intimate look at this ecosystem. You might find bat-eared foxes, servals, or caracals during your drive, as well as majestic birds of prey like martial eagles and vultures circling above.
Enjoy another bush lunch in the wild and take time for photography, birdwatching, and simply appreciating the vastness of the Serengeti plains. Return to your camp for your final evening, where you can unwind with a delicious dinner and reflect on the incredible moments of the day.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Return Flight to Arusha
On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive to soak in the last views of the Serengeti. The golden light at dawn creates beautiful photo opportunities and wildlife sightings tend to be active in the cool morning hours. This is your chance to catch one more glimpse of the wildebeest herds, a lion pride on the move, or perhaps even a leopard lounging in a tree.
After the game drive, return to your camp for breakfast, check out, and transfer to Kogatende airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, you can either connect to your international flight or extend your trip with additional experiences such as a Kilimanjaro day hike, cultural tours, or a beach holiday in Zanzibar.
