4 Days Serengeti Migration Safari Itinerary

Day 0: Arrival in Arusha or Zanzibar

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Arusha Airport (ARK), or Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival location, relax and prepare for your fly-in Serengeti adventure. Your safari briefing will be provided before your departure to Northern Serengeti the following day.

Day 1 & Day 2: Fly from Arusha or Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport (ARK) or Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) for your scheduled flight to Northern Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival in the Kogatende region, meet your professional safari guide and begin your first game drive. Spend the next two days exploring one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations and the best place to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration between July and October. Your experienced guide will track the movement of the herds and position you at the best locations to observe the spectacular Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-filled waters. Throughout your game drives, search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, hippos and many other iconic African wildlife species while enjoying picnic lunches in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you travel south through Serengeti National Park toward Central Serengeti. This scenic journey offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities as you explore different ecosystems and search for resident predators, large herbivores and diverse birdlife. Arrive in Central Serengeti in the afternoon and continue your safari with an exciting game drive before checking in to your camp.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha or Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, depart Central Serengeti and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Home to the Big Five and one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife, the crater offers exceptional opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos and numerous antelope species. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the crater and continue to Arusha, where you will be transferred to your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
