Day 0: International Arrival – Transfer to Arusha(Optional)

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your private safari driver-guide. After a short briefing about your upcoming safari adventure, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway city to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your hotel, enjoy a swim, or take a short stroll around the gardens. Arusha, located at the foot of Mount Meru, offers a peaceful introduction to the country’s beauty. Prepare to rest well tonight, as your African safari adventure begins tomorrow!

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, your safari officially begins. You’ll depart Arusha and drive southwest to Tarangire National Park, an underrated gem often referred to as Tanzania’s best-kept secret.

As you enter the park, vast landscapes of golden savannah, towering baobab trees, and seasonal swamps unfold before you. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants, sometimes numbering hundreds, and offers fantastic sightings of giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. During the dry season (June–October), the Tarangire River becomes a vital water source, drawing massive concentrations of animals.

Day 2: Tarangire to Central Serengeti

Day 3: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Following the Migration)

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti – Mara River Crossings

With a packed breakfast or picnic lunch, you’ll set off early to maximize your chances of witnessing a Mara River crossing — a life-and-death spectacle as thousands of wildebeests and zebras face crocodile-infested waters in their search for greener pastures.

Patience is key; your expert guide knows the best vantage points and will position you for the best chances to witness the drama unfold. In addition to the river crossings, the Northern Serengeti is rich with resident wildlife: elephants, topi antelopes, lions, leopards, and hyenas all thrive here.

Spend the day absorbing the raw beauty of the wilderness before returning to camp at sunset, where you can share stories around the campfire under the starry African skies.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Departure

Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater — a true Eden of wildlife. The crater floor covers 260 square kilometers and is home to almost every animal species found in East Africa, including endangered black rhinos, hippos, large prides of lions, elephants, and abundant birdlife.

Spend the morning on a thrilling game drive, exploring lakes, open grasslands, and forests all contained within the caldera walls. After a memorable safari and a scenic picnic lunch near a hippo pool, you’ll ascend the crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha.

Depending on your flight schedule, you can be transferred directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport or to a hotel in Arusha for day use or overnight.
